Outrageous Rags Giveaway!

Sponsored by:  Outrageous Rags
Hosted by:  The Stuff of Success

Judy owns Outrageous Rags - an Etsy store with some fabulous clothing.  Although Judy has been sewing since 8th grade - like me, she really started sewing when she became a mom.  I swear that is a requirement for being a mom...  She has even sewn for an Arabian Stallion so he could participate in equestrian competitions.  Next she started sewing for high school theater and Rennaisance costumes.

Now Judy and her fully grown up daughter work on clothing together for Outrageous Rags.  Judy does the embroidery and sewing while her daughter does the clothing pattern selection creating coloring and patterns where no two will ever be the same.  Together they create tunics, caftans, capes and ponchos - many with a special emphasis on plus size.  Together their Etsy feedback is a remarkable 100%!  You don't get better than that.

Check out some items that are currently in her store:

A Fleece Cape

A Fleece Caftan or Tunic

A Rayon Tunic with Fringe

A Caftan

Swimsuit or Sundress Coverup

See more of Judy and her daughter's creations at Outrageous Rags

Since I am a plus size mom I was thrilled to find Outrageous Rags.  The shop offers clothing unlike anything I have ever seen anywhere else - and definitely not in any type of retail setting.    Judy was so gracious and sent me a tunic to review and show you all about it!  Check it out!

And check out this embroidery and sequins!

Now guess what?!  Outrageous Rags is offering you all a 20% off coupon code:  DISCOUNT - simply input the code when you are checking out.

And there is MORE - Outrageous Rags is offering a tunic of choice to one lucky TSOS reader.

Why Professional Nail Technicians Favour Gel Nails

If you are going to get your nails done at your local salon, you may immediately be presented with a number of different manicure options. Popular choices include acrylic nails, gel nails and a simple shape and polish. For someone who has never had their nails done before, you may be overwhelmed about the different choices and not know which type of manicure to choose, however many nail technicians will advise you that gel nails are the best route to take.

The main reason that professional nail technicians recommend gel nails is due to the longevity of a gel nail manicure. Unlike regular nail polishes, gel nail polish is made from a strong and flexible gel formula which helps the manicure to last much longer, in fact many women can leave it up to three weeks between appointments. When using a gel manicure such as Jessica GELeration nails, nail technicians have also found that this flexible and durable gel formula makes the manicure highly resistant to chips and nails can stay in pristine condition for much longer.

Another benefit that nail professionals have found when applying gel manicures and pedicures for their clients is that there is a broad spectrum of colours to choose from. When applying a gel manicure, nail technicians use a special gel nail polish rather than standard nail polish formulas. Popular nail brands such as Jessica GELeration have created gel nail polishes in a great selection of their top colours – so there are plenty of colours to suit any occasion.

Nail professionals also recommend gel nails to their clients due to the fact that gel nails, when removed correctly, cause minimal damage to the nails and actually work to keep the nails strong and healthy. Using a soak-off formula gel nail manicure such as Jessica GELeration gel nails from www.gerrardinternational.com allows the gel formula to be removed with care from the nail to avoid any damage to the natural nail.

The next time you go to the nail salon for a manicure or pedicure, remember to take in the advice of nail professionals everywhere through selecting the chip resistant, long-lasting and colour rich choice that is a gel nail manicure or pedicure.

Chevy Traverse Review

I have been in the market for a new car and in my research I came across the Chevy Traverse and was very impressed, especially by the interior. Boy oh boy is it lush! There's a voice-activated MyLink System with a linked LCD screen. You can connect your smartphone to it too. But what's under the hood was truly impressive. A 3.6 liter direct injection V-6 engine with 288 horsepower. This system allows the Chevy Traverse to run like a V-8.

This Lynch Chevy's Traverse Review concerns the vehicles they carry at Lynch Chevrolet in Kenosha, Wisconsin. They carry new and used vehicles and have a great service department. If you're looking for financing they have that too, a true full-service dealership. Check out their inventory if you are in the greater Milwaukee area, you won't be disappointed.

Review of Rod Stewart's New CD TIME

I first saw Rod Stewart in concert in the early 90s with a group of my girlfriends. We rented a limo and the whole nine yards. It was one of the best times I've ever had. So you can imagine my excitement when, as a member of One2One Network, I was offered the chance to receive his new CD, TIME, to review.

Below are some important talking points about Rod Stewart and his new CD:

  • Rod Stewart has spent four decades being a rock star, three being a parent, and has a new album's worth of rollicking stories to tell. Time is his first album of new material in almost 20 years (and his hairstyle hasn't changed one bit!)
  • Time, releasing May 7th, 2013, marks Stewart's long-awaited return to his songwriting roots and features 12 tracks, 11 of which he wrote and produced.
  • The album was born from a burst of inspiration that came while Rod was reviewing his life for his recent memoir. Rod rediscovered his voice as a songwriter and rekindled his gift for writing the honest, nerve-touching narratives that have been the cornerstone to the first three decades of his career.
  • "Suddenly ideas for lyrics were piling up in my head," he says. "Next thing I knew, I had a song called 'It's Over' about divorce and separation. And now I was getting up in the middle of the night and scrambling for a pen to write things down, which has never happened to me. I finished seven or eight songs very quickly and I still wasn't done, and it became apparent that I would eventually have a whole album of material to record."
  • Along with the release of Time, Stewart is set to embark on the European leg of his Live the Life tour on June 1st, while American dates with Steve Winwood will kick off October 17th.
So, what do I think of the new album? I believe it proves that Rod Stewart still has the  magic. The songs are great, and his style as always shines through. I have always loved Rod Stewart, and I have to say, after seeing his new pic below I think he's aging really well, the sexy beast!

If you would like to buy Rod's new CD, TIME, you can go to iTunes or Amazon to purchase it. You can follow Rod on Twitter too! If you aren't already a Rod Stewart fan, this album should make you become one. Happy listening!
