I am getting so excited about the Oscars that I have decided to go ahead and start posting about Oscars past, The Academy Awards in general, and what E! Entertainment News on TV and other blogs and websites online are saying about the upcoming Oscars tonight.
It's about 1:30 pm in Texas, and the Oscars start on ABC here at 5, so I have a couple of hours to go.
Don't forget to comment on this post for a chance to win one of two $25 restaurant gift cards I have left. Started out with three, two more to go. Winners will be announced tomorrow.
I am watching E! Entertainment News on cable right now, and they are showing commercials that stars were in before they became famous. Leonardo DiCaprio was in a bubble gum commercial in 1983. Sure was surprised to see that!
Hang around, leave a comment, and feel free to leave a link to your Oscar-related post or find. We are going to have a blast today and tonight following Oscar buzz!
I'll be updating this post off and on until the Oscars come on and then blogging live with my impressions, fashion news, and who the winners of an Academy Award are!
One actor I am rooting for tonight is Christian Bale for Best Supporting Actor for THE FIGHTER.
Christian is one of the sexiest actors in Hollywood, and a great actor too. But I no idea he starred in the Stephen Speilberg movie EMPIRE OF THE SUN. Isn't he a little doll?
Good luck Christian Bale! THE FIGHTER is nominated for a total of 7 Oscars, so we'll keep our fingers crossed that Christine Bale wins Best Supporting Actor, and that the fabulous Mark Walberg, (loved him since Boogie Nights) can brag about a much deserved win for Best Picture.
I have to say, when it comes to nominees for Best Supporting Male Actor I really was impressed with the part Jeremy Renner played in THE TOWN. So we'll just have to wait and see.
All the buzz is leaning toward THE KING'S SPEECH making a sweep tonight, but I really hope that's not what happens. I don't like it when British movies take over the Academy Awards, which are an American tradition. The Brits should have their own Oscars, call them Snobstars, or something.
You know what? I have changed my mind about blogging live about the Oscars. Why should I, when you can watch everything right now, live streaming, at E! Online, or watch the show itself on ABC. I'm just going to sit back, eat some popcorn and enjoy the show, I hope you do too! But I will be posting over the next few days about my impressions, the best and worst fashions, and highlights from the show and other Oscar stuff.
